The Unit handles all processing of the academic data, including admission, registration, certificates, examination, timetabling, transcripts, academic staff data, and support users. The Unit also manages and maintains the information systems handling students and academic staff data.
Functions of AIMS
- Processing and maintaining Students and academic staff Information systems
- Printing transcript, partial transcript, and other related documents.
- Preparation and management of university timetable.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining various systems, including certificates, graduation, and academic staff, classroom and lab services, and other tools to support learning
- Supporting system for users on their day-to-day activities.
- Designing and developing all academic-related management information systems such as research projects, publications, technology transfer registry, special projects monitoring, field practical training, academic skills mapping, etc.
- Integration of data and information on academic affairs
Duties of the Coordinator
- Work on systems reports auditing and follow-ups for unique queries from the administration.
- Provide administrative linking, technical support, and coordination to the Units.
- Evaluate user needs and system functionality, ensuring that Information Systems meet up-to-date needs.
- Organize and coordinate the purchase of state-of-the-art hardware, servers, and software.
- Assist the DVC (ARC) and management to organizational policy regarding Information System quality standards and strategic planning
